There are many occasions when a pipe, wall or other vertical surface is making it difficult to get to the fixing and preform a pull-out test.<\/p>\n<p>However, Hydrajaws have a few accessories and techniques that can be used to make life easier.<\/p>\n<p>1. Integrated Nut<br \/>\nIn confined spaces the integrated nut can be used with a 22mm ratchet spanner for better access and for easier operation (fig 1).<br \/>\nRemove the handles by unscrewing from the base using the 10mm wrench (fig 2).<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-709\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hydrajaws.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/tester-handle-1-2w.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"304\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hydrajaws.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/tester-handle-1-2w.jpeg 850w, https:\/\/www.hydrajaws.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/tester-handle-1-2w-312x112.jpeg 312w, https:\/\/www.hydrajaws.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/tester-handle-1-2w-768x275.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.hydrajaws.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/tester-handle-1-2w-636x227.jpeg 636w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2. Adjusting the handle position<\/p>\n<p>The top part of the unit can be rotated if the handle or gauge becoming obstructed by the unit legs or other objects (fig 3).<\/p>\n<p>This is achieved by loosening the three grub screws (a) on the body using the allen key provided. Rotate the top until the handle and gauge are clear of obstacles and re-tighten the screws.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-717\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hydrajaws.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/rotate-handle.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"458\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hydrajaws.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/rotate-handle.jpeg 650w, https:\/\/www.hydrajaws.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/rotate-handle-312x220.jpeg 312w, https:\/\/www.hydrajaws.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/rotate-handle-636x448.jpeg 636w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>3. Change the bridge<br \/>\nFor a bigger span &#8211; Hydrajaws make a 270, 600 and Pyramid bridge. These can offer greater stability and a wider area for testing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-725\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hydrajaws.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/600bridge1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"404\" height=\"454\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hydrajaws.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/600bridge1.jpeg 404w, https:\/\/www.hydrajaws.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/600bridge1-278x312.jpeg 278w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 404px) 100vw, 404px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>4. Hex extension legs<br \/>\nAvailable for the 150 Bridge in 50mm, 75mm and 100mm.
