Features

Key features include a shear bracket equipped with a PTFE gasket to minimise friction, a keyhole for clear substrate observation, and a datum boss for accurate displacement measurement. The shear test reaction box mounts securely to the substrate using four anchors, with spacing tailored to typical UK and European brick centres, ensuring compatibility and consistency.

Training

This 30-minute course gives delegates the skills to safely operate the Hydrajaws Shear Tester add-on. A certificate of competence will be issued upon completion and a passing grade of 80% in this course. On completion of the course, access will expire and will no longer be available.
